HealthHelp Launches RASA, a Supercharged Approach to Specialty Benefits Management
Press Releases • January 23, 2012
HOUSTON(Jan. 23, 2012)—HealthHelp introduces a revolutionary advancement in the specialty benefits management industry. Rank and Suggest Alternatives, or RASA, combines computer-based clinical decision support with the diagnostic imaging benefit management already available through the company’s highly successful Consult program. RASA is now available to the entire HealthHelp network today as a free enhancement to its existing robust suite of products.
RASA represents a great leap forward in specialty benefits management. With RASA, the ordering physician will have another option when an online request does not meet evidence-based guidelines. Instead of pursuing the originally requested procedure through phone consultation, the physician can choose from alternatives suggested and ranked by CDS. This new option will provide the guidance the physician needs immediately; reducing the time it takes to receive authorization for the exam by up to one-half.
RASA will be available for CT, CTA, MRI, MRA, PET, and cardiac nuclear medicine within the diagnostic imaging benefit management provided by HealthHelp.
This advancement represents a supercharged approach to specialty benefits management, one offered exclusively by HealthHelp. RASA will further contribute to the company’s collaborative approach, which enhances physician knowledge and fuels sustained savings by changing long-term ordering patterns. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mark Hiatt is available to discuss this new enhancement to HealthHelp’s highly successful Consult program.
