Mark D. Hiatt, MD, MBA, MS

Chief Medical Officer

 

With strong credentials in radiology and business, Dr. Hiatt brings to HealthHelp valuable medical informatics insights as well as a broad understanding of health care's evolving economic context and the transformative role of technology in medicine. Previously, he served as radiology department leader and board member for Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics in Tyler, Texas. A widely published physician and scholar, Dr. Hiatt is active in many professional organizations. His education includes a medical degree and MBA from Wake Forest University, a master's degree in health evaluation sciences and a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Virginia, and a cardiovascular imaging fellowship at Stanford University.

 

 

 

Jon D. Shanser, MD, FACR

Medical Director of Clinical Services

 

Dr. Shanser is a diagnostic radiologist who practiced with Bay Area Radiologists in San Francisco from 1981 to 2009, and is now a diagnostic radiologist at the Reno Diagnostic Center in Reno, Nevada. Through his four-decade career, he served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), and has held leadership positions in both the American College of Radiology (ACR) and California Radiological Society (CRS). He was Chairman of the ACR Coding & Nomenclature Committee and its Regulatory Compliance Task Force, and was President of the CRS for which he still serves on the Executive Committee. He also still serves as a Councilor to the ACR. Dr. Shanser completed a diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship at UCSF and an internship in medicine at UCLA Affiliated Hospitals after earning his medical degree from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.

 

 

 

Clive Shkedy, MD

Utilization Management Medical Director of Radiation Oncology

 

Dr. Shkedy is a board-certified radiation oncologist and an assistant professor of radiology and neurosurgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. A prominent radiation oncologist in Houston’s vibrant and innovative medical community, Dr. Shkedy practices and holds leadership positions at several area hospitals. For example, he serves as chief of services for radiation oncology at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and as a medical director at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. Dr. Shkedy is part of the Methodist radiation oncology group and is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncologists.

 

 

Anthony DeFrance, MD

Medical Director for Cardiology

 

Board certified in cardiology, interventional cardiology, and internal medicine, Dr. DeFrance is fellowship director for cardiac CT at California Pacific Medical Center, medical director for the CVCTA Education Center, and director of cardiovascular imaging at Nevada Imaging Centers. He serves in leadership positions for the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Cardiovascular CT, and the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. Dr. DeFrance completed a cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and an internal medicine residency and internship at the University of California, San Francisco, after earning his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine.

 

 

David Levin, MD

Consultant

 

Through Dr. Levin, HealthHelp has forged a partnership with the radiology department of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital of Philadelphia, which he previously chaired. Dr. Levin’s esteemed medical career has included faculty appointments and leadership roles at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, Harvard Medical School, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Levin has held chairmanships for various medical associations and committees and cochaired a National Quality Forum steering committee that identified appropriateness and efficiency standards for outpatient diagnostic imaging. This widely published physician and educator has received life-time achievement recognition from the American College of Radiology and the Association of University Radiologists.
