HealthHelp is dedicated to upholding the best standard of practices in the industry and strives to achieve the highest quality of services to its customers. To this end HealthHelp has achieved accreditation with the following bodies:
HealthHelp has had full accreditation with URAC for health utilization management since 2008. URAC is an independent, non-profit health care accrediting organization dedicated to promoting health care quality through accreditation, education, and measurement. Founded in 1990, URAC currently offers more than 30 accreditation products across the continuum of health care services. URAC is governed as an independent third-party, and it functions as an independent third-party. URAC is organization independent of any particular stakeholder group. The URAC governing board of directors has representatives from all affected constituencies: consumers, providers, employers, regulators, and managed care industry experts.
HealthHelp is certified with NCQA for utilization management. NCQA certifies with stringent standards that promote the adoption of strategies believed to improve care, enhance service, and reduce costs. NCQA‘s certification review process involves a rigorous evaluation conducted by a team of managed care experts and physicians followed by an analysis of the team’s findings by a review committee.
The Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)-like designation reflects the continued efforts of HealthHelp and its payer clients to improve care quality and lower costs. Among the criteria HealthHelp met to achieve this certification are status as a physician-access organization, the ability to perform medical and quality-review functions, and the presence of a consumer advocate on its governing board. This last criteria met, in particular, exemplifies HealthHelp’s dedication to improved care quality for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.
